Kindergarten Portrait Information

Hi and Welcome to Essence Images Kindergarten Images! I can’t wait to capture your little person in their Kindy year – early education is such a fun and amazing time in your child’s life, I like my images to reflect that joy and fun without the daggy backdrops and staged smiles we so often see in “school” photos. I spend time with each child {yes it can be time consuming} to make them feel comfortable with me to bring out an authentic smile. I always photograph outside in a lovely natural environment. The results are speak for themselves, and many parents have ended up purchasing the digital file of their image and go on to have it printed or framed in a lovely canvas for their wall at home!

 PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR KINDY PORTRAITS

Images can be taken either portrait or landscape style – if parent/caregiver has not specified their preference the image will be taken as a traditional portrait style. Please write you name on the list at your centre to  register your preference for a landscape style portrait. Portrait style is a head shot generally taken from the waist up. Landscape images are even closer, and can often cut out the top of the child’s head. Landscape images really accentuate a child’s features and character. Portrait images are a more ‘traditional’ style kindy photo whilst the Landscape image has a more contemporary feel.

Once the photos are taken they will be uploaded into a secure password protected gallery for you to view and order digitals You will also receive a paper order form with a small proof image. If you would like digital orders you will need to order through the gallery and instructions will be sent via email for this. Otherwise all print orders and print/digital orders can be done via the paper order forms.  The gallery will be live for 3 weeks plus another 3 for late orders. Orders will be back to the centre 2 weeks after orders close. Late orders that involve printing will incur a $25 late fee for extra courier charges I incur, unfortunately this is NOT negotiable so please be aware of ordering times.  Late digital only orders will not incur a late fee. Once a gallery has become deactivated if you haven’t placed an order and would still like to there is a $25 reactivation fee for digital files and $25 for printing. Images are retained for 6 months, digital files are your responsibility once purchased, and cannot be recovered once purchased. Essence Images is not responsible for any lost digital files.

DIGITAL PACKS –   Digital Packs include your child’s image in both colour and Black and white, their group photo AND an 8 x 12″ print that is the 6 x 4″ image base combination sheet. This means you can print off this 8 x 12″ image and you will have Two 6×4″ images, two 2.5 x 4″ images, four 2 x 3″ images. Digital only packs are also available for IMMEDIATE download from the gallery website so you can receive your images and print yourself straight away!! This method of purchase is most recommended. {Digital only pack $55 / Digital & Print pack $65}

• Images are printed on 8 x 12 inch, 100 year archival matte paper at a professional laboratory. They are available in colour, black and white.

• Images are available in 3 sizing combinations – 5’ x 7’, 6’ x 4’ and 8’ x 10’ (sizes are in traditional inches). The total number of images varies for each combination.{Sample shown below}

• A discounted multi sheet option is available for a 2nd sheet purchased, of the same child. Group Image is discounted when purchased with an individual combo print {$40  for group and individual prints purchased together}

•  All efforts to capture your child will be carried out on the day, with adequate time allowance for the group images & individual images.
If your child, for some reason, does not wish to participate in the group or individual image after gentle encouragement, the child will be listed as absent on the day – unfortunately the image cannot be retaken. The group image will be the final image available. A great deal of time will be spent trying to get an image with all children looking, however this is not always possible when working with more than 20 young children.

•  Sibling images may be taken on the day for siblings attending the same centre. Every reasonable effort will be taken to ensure a great photo of them, however, again should your child not wish to participate this image will not be taken. Minimum purchase to be eligible to purchase sibling image together is $40

• All payments are to be made by direct bank deposit, cash or online orders via credit card through paypal. When using direct bank dep. please use child’s surname and name of kindy as reference.

• There is no need to dress your child any differently on ‘photo day’. It may cause them stress and discomfort when it comes to photo time – their everyday clothes are fine.

• All images remain the property and copyright of Essence Images and therefore images may be used for promotional purposes. They also cannot be copied, scanned, edited, reproduced or onsold as this breaches copyright laws. If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used for promotional purposes please send an email to jessica@essenceimages.com.au

• I endeavour for every client to be 100% satisfied with the image of their child, as I truly believe that referral is the greatest compliment I can receive. If you are not satisfied for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

• Every order of a group image with combo sheet will receive a $100 credit for a family portrait session with Essence Images * conditions apply

5X7″ IMAGE BASE – Combination {All Combinations are $28 for the first sheet and $20 for subsequent copies} Group Image is $20 or $12 when purchased with an individual image combo.

6×4″ IMAGE BASE – COMBINATION {a copy of this is included in your digital pack}

{ Two 6×4″ images, two 2.5 x 4″ images, four 2 x 3″ images, printed onto one 8×12″ sheet of Lustre 100 year archival Paper.}

8×10″ IMAGE BASE – COMBINATION

{One 8×10″ Print, three 2×3″ Prints, printed onto one 8×12″ sheet of Lustre 100 year archival Paper.}

All DIGITAL IMAGES are sold at 8×12″ 300ppi digital files and you receive both the colour and black and white version of the file, for your own personal sharing and printing, the group image and a 6 x 4″ combination sheet.

So to sum it all up… I’ll be coming to kindy and taking your child’s photograph. You will then receive an order form with a small proof print and a paper order form. You can order digital files online {and via paper if you really want to..} 3 weeks after this orders CLOSE and later orders will be taken but will incur a fee. 2-3 weeks from close of orders your images will be delivered to kindy or your digital files sent via email. 🙂
