January PAD {Day 5}
I feel like I am getting to know who she is all over again. She is constantly changing, her interests, her attitudes. She’s getting more into music, fashion and all those ‘grown-up’ things. I think she’s pretty darn cool, not that that’s what’s important. I think it’s cool that she feels confident to express her ideas and sense of self and pursue the things that pique her interest. Of course there’s sometimes trepidation but seriously, it’s a minefield of judgement out in the world when you are 13 – and like most humans on this planet the judgement is ultimately created in our minds, and it’s about turning that noise down.
Today we went to a shop that she found in an article about in a Frankie Magazine. The Swop Shop is an awesome concept of swapping your clothes and getting credit from the store to purchase other clothes or you are can get cash. They also specialise in Vintage and Retro numbers. If you are Brisbane, check it out. She picked up the outfit she’s wearing in the image below 🙂 My girl <3
