January day Thirteen

Ahhh teenagers, those curious creatures…..where do I begin. They are an interesting species – one I haven’t figured out even though I have been one myself. They have a Ninja level of egocentricity that perhaps limits our ability as adults to remember just what it was like. I’m sure when I try really hard I can get a little glimpse, but I absolutely forget the level of slothness many teenagers possess – maybe that’s just me and my inability to sit still for very long, and perhaps it’s also my fault for putting a welcoming carpet rug in my kitchen. I mean where else is better to roll out of bed and into (in this case onto) and ponder the first few items one is going to consume for the day.

Come to think of it, bot of my girls are often found laying on the floor of the kitchen rolling around letting me know their hunger levels – it’s normally determined by how loud their grunts are. Do not be confused my friends, girls, I’m sure are just as good at boys in the rolling around on the floor and grunting for food department.

So on this morning, I captured her, on the carpet,  freshly rolled out of bed doing her beautiful 14 year old thing that I love so much, being her eccentric funny self while we all walked around her chatting to her and going about our business, making my coffee, getting breakfast as we do.

Perfect family bonding time really……
