Today we celebrated my big girl turning 13. Her birthday  is on the last day of the year but really, we have continued the celebrations since then.

She’s celebrated tonight with her posse, and let me tell you, they are an amazing bunch of young women, brains, wit, sass, empathy, artistic flare, consideration, respect are just a few of their many attributes. As much as I am nostalgic and sad my baby is growing up, I’m also excited about watching her life unfold.
